New naturalist hired

Liz Pierson, a naturalist-intern at Trees For Tomorrow since August, became a permanent staff member at the natural resources specialty school in Eagle River on March 1.

Pierson replaces Cheryl Todea who was promoted to Operations Manager at Trees For Tomorrow earlier this year.

Anniversary Trees quilt

Quilt, 4 other prizes to be raffled

The Cranberry Country Quilters designed, crafted and donated a queen-sized quilt to Trees For Tomorrow to be used as a prize for the 2014 Forest Fest Scholarship Raffle.

The quilt, named “Anniversary Trees” in honor of Trees For Tomorrow’s 70th anniversary this year, is one of five being raffled this year.

Donation funds new Tree ID signs

An $850 donation from Plum Creek Timber Company will be used to purchase high-pressure laminated signs to revamp the Tree Identification program at Trees For Tomorrow.

Quarterly Tree Tips newsletter debuts

This edition features information about our 70th anniversary, a schedule of 2014 public programs and events, a proposal to add a Civilian Conservation Corps statue to our campus, and Northbound, TFT’s forum for natural resources issues and education.

Cheryl Steps up to Interim Director's Job

Cheryl Todea, a 13-year veteran of Trees For Tomorrow, has been names interim executive director of Trees For Tomorrow.

After 10 years at Trees For Tomorrow, Executive Director Maggie Bishop is taking on a new challenge.

Bring the youngsters for FREE Halloween activities at Trees For Tomorrow from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 26th.

Make a Holiday Wreath

Join the Trees For Tomorrow staff from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, November 9th, to make a beautiful wreath from live evergreens to take home for the holidays.

The summer weather has arrived along with the beginning of a great line up of summer programs on the Trees For Tomorrow campus.

Great Turnout For The Annual Golf Outing

82 golfers teed off for the 11th Annual Scholarship Golf Outing on the Eagle River Golf Course. The weather cooperated, and fun was had while raising money for scholarships for youth to attend Trees For Tomorrow.
