Lessons held in Eagle River and taught by professional staff from Trees For Tomorrow.
A minimum of 4 participants is required for a lesson to be held.
Instruction: $15/hour per person
Rental: $15/person (includes skis, boots, and poles)
Highly trained and knowledgable Trees For Tomorrow staff will instruct participants in cross-country diagonal stride skiing techniques. Flatland instruction components may include skills such as: learning how to fall and get up, weight balance/transfer, movement on skis, kicking and gliding, poling, double poling, and kick-double poling. Hill skills that may be covered include: snowplow, herringbone, snowplow turns, and step turns. Instruction will be based on participants skill level and will be adjusted accordingly. The Trees For Tomorrow ski instructors are comfortable with many levels of skier abilities and teach lessons on a regular basis to 4th graders through adults.
