Science Earth Exploration for Kids (S.E.E.K.)
Day camp for youth
 
2015 Science Earth Exploration for Kids will bring a summer full of fun quests to discover the wonders of nature! Youth ages 8-12 are invited to join us each week for a full day of exploring and using science to learn more about the Northwoods of Wisconsin! Each week will focus on a different nature topic and will include outdoor explorations, hands-on science, activities, and fun!
 
Dates: Every Thursday from July 2nd through August 6th.
Time: 8:30am-4:00pm
Cost: $30 per child per session and includes a full-day of programming.

Participants should bring with them comfortable clothes and shoes for being outside, snacks, and lunch.

2015 S.E.E.K. Topics (Subject to change. Final schedule finalized this spring!)
 
July 2nd: Outdoor Explorers - A fun day of learning about the forest, Wisconsin's nature history, and experiencing nature through the eyes of an explorer.

July 9th: Wild about Water -  Explore the wonders of water through the eyes of a scientist. Conduct your own water experiments and learn what might be living in Silver Lake.
 
July 16th: Animal CSI (Critter Science Investigation) - Investigate the lives of animals living in the Northwoods.
 
July 23rd: Diggin' in the Dirt - See what's going on underground by conducting your iwn soil experiments, searching for creepy crawlies, and getting your hands in the dirt.
 
July 30th: Adventure Skills - A full d ay of adventure activities like survival skills, geocaching, archery, compass, and more.
 
August 6th: Bio Inventions - Design your own inventions inspired by nature! Create, design, and present your invention to the Bear Den in the fun and hands on program. (Parents are welcome to join us at 3:30pm to check out some awesome nature inventions!)

Please note for 2015, there will be no swimming at Silver Lake as part of Trees For Tomorrow's SEEK program.
