Discover the forest from the ground up! Come learn about the different kinds of trees we have and learn why it is so fun to yell “TIMBER!”

July 3: Flying in the Sky
Ever wonder what those dark shapes really are flying high in the sky? Meet our bird ambassadors Orion and Apollo, learn their stories, and discover the songs of other birds on campus.

July 10: Surf and Turf
Natural resources are everywhere we look. Get closer to nature by using outdoor skills. This week test your canoeing skills in the water and your hiking skills on land!

July 17: Catching the World
The soils hold many ooies and gooies but today we will have the unique chance to come face to face with some fascinating wigglers. Meet the “Trees” resident reptiles and amphibians and then dig up some new ones as well.

July 24: Bright Ideas
Energy comes in all shapes and sizes these days. Where does your energy come from? Join us to learn about different forms of energy and to see energy in action!

July 31: Who’s in Silver Lake?
This Thursday is all about underwater life! Make awesome periscopes that help you see life under the water without getting your head wet!

August 7: Thunder and Lightning
BOOM CRASH SIZZLE! Everyone loves a cool thunderstorm. But where does the water go after it rains? Here at “Trees” we will travel through the water cycle to discover the amazing journey water takes. (Bring a 100% cotton T-shirt to tie-dye, or buy one from us for $7.)
