SUMMER ACTIVITIES

Trees For Tomorrow offers a number of events during summer that are unique to the northwoods of Wisconsin. The programs are free unless otherwise noted. Donations are welcome and help to susatain these programs. Below is the 2009 schedule.

Youth Oudoor Adventure Series - NEW
Every Thursday from 8:30am - 4:00pm, youth ages 9-14 can enjoy a day of adventure at Trees For Tomorrow. YOAS is designed for youth ages 9-14 and cost only $25/child per Thursday. Cost includes all day programming, morning snack, swim time at Silver Lake and loads of fun!!  Sign-up for one or all of them! Note: Hot lunch is not provided. Youth must bring their own bag lunch. Please register by the Tuesday of that weeks program.

        June 18 ~ Survival Olympics: A day of outdoor skills inlcuding archery, fire building and GPS!

        June 25 ~ Wisconsin Wildlife: Explore WI wildlife up close and personal including live snakes!

        July 2 ~ Earth Explorers: Discover wildlife, woods, waters and wonders of the Earth.

        July 9 ~ Fun with Flora: Get up close and personal with our surroundings.

        July 16 ~ Feathered Friends: Explore WI birds and bring home your own bird feeder!

        July 23 ~ Water Wonders: Spending the day in and out of the water - including canoeing!

       July 30 ~ Animal Adaptations: Explore behavioral and physical adaptations animals have
                        to survive living in the Northwoods!

       August 6 ~ Team Building: A day of group challenges including orienteering and canoeing!

      August 13 ~ Survival Olympics II: Another day of outdoor skills!

      August 20 ~ Forest Fun: Explore the woods, make paper, and play lumberjack games!

Family Programs - NEW
This summer Trees For Tomorrow will be presenting nature programs for the whole family!  Join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30 AM in the Education Hall to learn about the plants and creatures that surround us in the Northwoods!  All programs are $1.00 per person or $5.00 per family.  Stay tuned for the posting of our 2009 summer topics!
