SUMMER ACTIVITIES
Trees For Tomorrow offers a number of events during summer that are unique to the northwoods of Wisconsin. The programs are free unless otherwise noted. Donations are always welcome and help maintain the program budget.
Summer Youth Camp - NEW
Water, Woods, Wonders ~ August 4-8 from 8:30 am until 3:30 pm each day.
For children ages 12 through 15 years old. Activities include challenge course, archery, map and compass, canoeing, tree identification, learning GPS, swimming, hiking, and much more. Cost is just $160 per child for the week which includes activities, snacks, lunch, crafts, games, and a Trees For Tomorrow t-shirt. For more information, email Maria Pichette or call 715-479-6456.

$1.00 per person or $5.00 per family.
These programs are nature related and many involve making craft items.

Come learn about a special group of Wisconsin’s amphibians called frogs. Listen to and learn how to recognize 12 species of frog calls
June 26 ~ Early Summer Phenology (Natural Happenings) of the Northwoods
Come enjoy and discover the fascinating world of phenology, the study of when things happen in nature. Learn about the fleeting natural phenomena of early summers in the Northwoods (while taking a brief trail walk--weather permitting), such as which flowers are in bloom and which animals are calling for mates.
July 3 ~ Salamanders of Wisconsin
Learn about a special group of Wisconsin’s amphibians called salamanders and meet Trees For Tomorrow’s resident educational salamanders.
July 10 ~ Loons
Learn about northern Wisconsin’s common loon, a species of special concern. Discover ways that you can help ensure that this bird makes a comeback.
July 17 ~ Frog Calls of Northern Wisconsin
Come learn about a special group of Wisconsin’s amphibians called frogs. Listen to and learn how to recognize 12 species of frog calls.
July 24 ~ Nature's Calendar: Mid-Summer Phenology (Natural Happenings) of the Northwoods
