Trees For Tomorrow offers teachers a variety of nature-oriented courses to provide an invigorating way to earn university credit or continue professional development.

The beautiful northwoods is a great place to learn about the Midwest's flora and fauna. Visit logging sites, study woodland invasives, get your feet wet in a bog, explore a Wilderness area, catch critters and much more! Take back to your classroom and outdoor learning sites knowledge about managing our precious natural reources and hands-on activities to share with your students. A great networking opportunity to meet with other teachers and natural resource managers! Appropriate for teachers in any subject looking to learn about natural resources and Trees For Tomorrow. Registration fee: $50. Instruction fee: $300. ($250 scholarships are available to certified teachers, plus payment for one graduate credit up to $100. Nature Photography: Sunsets, Wetlands, and Waterfalls

Venture out into the beautiful Northwoods to learn how to take pictures of waterfalls, wetlands, sunsets and close-ups. You will learn about all aspects of photogrpahy such as lighting, exposure, composition and basic photo editing on the computer. You will become a better photographer no matter what your subject is. Suitable for beginner to intermediate photographers who use an SLR-style camera (a more advanced point and shoot is also accceptable). Please bring a laptop with your digital camera if you have one. Registration fee: $50. Instruction fee: $350. (Very limited scholarships available to certified teachers. Please call Carol at 715-479-6456 for more scholarship information). One graduate credit optional: additional $100.

Credit criteria and complete workshop information will be distributed after the registration information and reservation fee are received. Full payment for all workshops is due 30 days prior to the start of the workshop.

Instructors
All instructors are carefully selected based on their knowledge, experience, and ability to teach adult groups. Trees For Tomorrow staff have taken courses in each area of instruction to provide participants with a high quality learning experience.
Dining
Homecooked meals are prepared by the Trees For Tomorrow chef and dining staff and served in the historic dining hall on campus. A social hour is held prior to dinner on the first evening so that workshop participants have an opportunity to relax and discuss the events of the day with each other.
Lodging
Guests staying at Trees For Tomorrow will find the facilities to have the rustic charm of a Northwoods lodge. Each dormitory style building has a central lounge, a fireplace, and central bathrooms. Guests can request a private room or may choose to share a room with another participant.
