Naturally social-distanced no matter what the season!

Nature Adventures

Get outdoors, learn something new and get your spirit re-invigorated on a guided exploration of the Wisconsin Northwoods.

April 10: Outdoor Cooking

What’s a better way to spend some time outdoors than with food and a fire. We’ll start with the basics of building a campfire, then learn how to make some tasty campfire treats and spend time together enjoying them!

April 24: Orienteering

Exploring Wisconsin’s great outdoors is more fun when you’re prepared! Gain confidence in your ability to navigate with a map and compass by taking our orienteering class! We’ll teach you the basics and help you practice. Then we'll head offsite to our orienteering course and put these new skills to the test! You’ll navigate to marked trees and collect words to unscramble a sentence.

May 1: Archery/Outdoor Skills

Ready? Aim. Fire! Come out to Trees For Tomorrow’s campus and learn the basics in archery from our trained staff. Then we'll practice another outdoor skill, fire-building.  This family friendly activity includes instructions and the chance to practice this new skill.

May 15: Birding (***This program runs from 8AM-11AM)

Begin the day by learning about bird characteristics, then join us on a bird scavenger hunt as we hike through the forest at Tara Lila trails, looking for our feathered friends! Binoculars are available to borrow, hike is approximately 1-2.5 miles over variable terrain.

May 22: Hiking

Bring the whole family to take a stroll around Luna and White deer lakes with a naturalist! As we hike our educators will stop to teach you about the nature around you. Hike is approximately 4.5 miles over mostly flat-gentle rolling terrain.  Bring some sturdy hiking boots with a waterproof sole- some brief soggy sections of trail are normal in spring.
